An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Guantanamo. Third ranked Guantanamo faced their biggest opponent Capitalinas. Guests from (9-2) defeated host Capitalinas (9-4) 71-64. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Capitalinas. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Capitalinas won third quarter 19-7. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Guantanamo won last quarter 24-18. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Capitalinas turnovers. International center Clenia Noblet (190-87) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Yunieski Bouly (184-92) chipped in 24 points (made all of her eight free throws). International Suchitel Avila (184-82) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and center Zuleira Atis (190-80) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Capitalinas players scored in double figures. Guantanamo have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Capitalinas at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Guantanamo will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Capitalinas will play again against the league's second-placed Guantanamo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
