The game in Kinna was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Umea (15-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Mark Basket (9-8). Umea defeated Mark Basket 84-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Mark Basket. The game was mostly controlled by Umea. Mark Basket was better in fourth quarter 29-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Umea dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Mark Basket's 28. Umea forced 19 Mark Basket turnovers. American-Italian swingman Pamela Rosanio (178-86, college: Massachusetts) nailed 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winning side and Lithuanian forward Lina Pikciute (192-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) accounted for 22 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Jasmine Thomas (170-91, college: Michigan St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Elin Ljunggren (184-96) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Mark Basket in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mark Basket's coach Frank Alm rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Umea maintains second place with 15-1 record behind leader Northland. Mark Basket at the other side keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Umea will play against bottom-ranked Solna Vikings (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mark Basket will play against Akropol (#10) in Spanga and hopes to get back on the winning track.
