Regular Season Round 37: Huracanes - Panteras 76-85

There was an upset when higher ranked Huracanes (17-17) lost to eleventh ranked Panteras (13-22) in Tampico 76-85 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-76. Panteras made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international swingman Jorge Alfredo Casillas (196-90) contributed with 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds and Nigerian-American power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Huracanes. Huracanes' coach Angel Gonzalez tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Panteras maintains eleventh place with 13-22 record. Loser Huracanes keep the seventh position with 17 games lost. Panteras will face Correcaminos (#12) in Ciudad Victoria in the next round.
