Regular Season Round 2: Chunghua T. - Cathay Life 67-91

An interesting game for Cathay Life (2-0) which played against Chunghwa Telecom (0-2). Cathay Life had an easy win 91-67. The game was mostly controlled by Cathay Life. Chunghwa Telecom managed to win fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cathay Life dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Chunghwa Telecom's 32. They outrebounded Chunghwa Telecom 42-21 including a 30-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Ping-Chen Huang (178-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Liu Chun-Yi (180-81) contributed with 14 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Cathay Life's coach Ling Yao Hung felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Jia-Wei Liu (175-88) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and the former international power forward Li-Yun Wang (176-85) added 10 points in the effort for Chunghwa Telecom. Four Chunghwa Telecom players scored in double figures. Cathay Life is looking forward to face Taiyuan Textile in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chunghwa Telecom will play against Taipower and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
