Regular Season Round 37: Huracanes - Panteras 83-64

Very expected game when 11th ranked Panteras (13-22) were smashed by seventh ranked Huracanes (17-17) in Tampico 83-64 on Thursday. The game without a history. Huracanes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Panteras' 32. It was a very good performance for American swingman Ollie Bailey (201-85, college: Oklahoma City) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds. The former international Oscar Alejandro Perez Zarco (205-85) contributed with 17 points for the winners. American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Adrian Jesus Villalobos (183) added 16 points in the effort for Panteras. Five Huracanes and four Panteras players scored in double figures. Huracanes maintains seventh place with 17-17 record. Loser Panteras keep the eleventh position with 22 games lost. Huracanes will face bottom-ranked Barreteros (#14) in Zacatecas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Panteras will play on the road against Correcaminos in Ciudad Victoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
