Regular Season Round 20: Melilla - Oviedo 83-64

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Oviedo CB (7-12) was rolled over on the road by ninth ranked Melilla Baloncesto (10-9) 83-64 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Melilla Baloncesto. Oviedo CB managed to win fourth quarter 21-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Carles Bravo (193-79) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and power forward Adrian Laso (205-90) who added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Laso is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Alvaro Munoz (197-90, agency: Duran International) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Dominican power forward Juan Garcia (201-89, agency: Duran International) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Melilla Baloncesto maintains ninth position with 10-9 record. Loser Oviedo CB keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Melilla Baloncesto will meet higher ranked Planasa NV (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Oviedo CB will play against Palencia Baloncesto (#3) and hope to secure a win.
