No shocking result in a game when third ranked Kutaisi (6-2) defeated at home 6th ranked Olimpi (2-6) 83-77. The game without a history. Kutaisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Kutaisi forced 25 Olimpi turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Olimpi was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Azerbaijani guard Zaur Pashaev (188-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Naturalized Azerbaijani forward Davit Barbakadze (203-82) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Kutaisi players scored in double figures. Bosnian center Marko Dujkovic (226-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds and guard Nugzar Abuladze (182-95) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Olimpi. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kutaisi have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Rustavi and MIA Academy. Olimpi at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Kutaisi will play against Batumi (#5) at home in the next round.
