Regular Season Round 15: Bank of Taiwan - Taiwan Beer 74-65

The game between third ranked Taiwan Beer (14-11) and sixth ranked Bank of Taiwan (10-15) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Taiwan Beer was defeated by Bank of Taiwan in a tough game 65-74. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan was tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a great evening for American center James Tyler (218-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. The former international forward Shun-Hsiang Chen (190-85) helped adding 18 points and 5 rebounds. Tyler is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was international forward Cheng Liu (192-90) with 30 points and Central African-American center Patrick O'Bryant (213-86, college: Bradley) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. Bank of Taiwan moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Yulon Luxgen. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Bank of Taiwan is looking forward to face Dacin Tigers (#6) in the next round. Taiwan Beer will play against the league's leader Pure Youth and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
