Regular Season Round 19: Hyeres-Toulon - Orchy 84-73

ProB top team - Hyeres-Toulon (16-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Orchesien BC (11-8) 84-73. The game was mostly controlled by Hyeres-Toulon. Orchesien BC was better in third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American forward Kyle Spain (196-87, college: San Diego St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). His fellow American import Davante Gardner (203-91, college: Marquette) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five Hyeres-Toulon players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Rodrigue Mels (190-85, college: CS Northridge, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian Djordje Petrovic (202-84) scored 19 points and 4 assists. Hyeres-Toulon have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-3 record. Orchesien BC at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Hyeres-Toulon will play against bottom-ranked Angers BC (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Orchesien BC will play against Fos Ouest (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
