An interesting game was also surprising home defeat of 5th ranked United in a game in Melbourne versus Wollongong Hawks (#8) 82-76. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-76. Wollongong Hawks dominated on the defensive end, holding United to just 6 points in second quarter.
