Rather predictable result when ninth ranked GTK Gliwice (8-11) outscored at home 13th ranked SKK Siedlce (5-14) 72-51 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by GTK Gliwice. SKK Siedlce was better in second period 11-4. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. GTK Gliwice dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to SKK Siedlce's 14. Power forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Norbert Kulon (187-92) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four GTK Gliwice players scored in double figures. Center Kamil Gawrzydek (207-87, college: Idaho St.) produced 8 points and 10 rebounds and Kamil Sulima (193-80) added 11 points respectively for lost side. SKK Siedlce's coach Mariusz Niedbalski gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted GTK Gliwice maintains ninth place with 8-11 record. SKK Siedlce lost third consecutive game. SKK Siedlce at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. GTK Gliwice will face GKS Tychy (#12) on the road in the next round. SKK Siedlce will play against Astoria Bydg. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
