Regular Season Round 21: St Vallier - St Chamond 98-88

Top ranked Saint Chamond (15-4) recorded its fourth loss on the court of fifth ranked Saint Vallier on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Saint Vallier 98-88. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Saint Chamond. Saint Vallier made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Saint Chamond 31-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Saint Chamond helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American swingman Rasheed Wright (196-80, college: ODU) who scored 23 points. Guard Jesse Delhomme (189-85) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Jean-Stephane Rinna (198-83) who recorded 23 points and Lithuanian swingman Mantas Ruikis (195-85) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Saint Vallier and four Saint Chamond players scored in double figures. Saint Vallier have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 12-7 record. Saint Chamond at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Saint Vallier are looking forward to face Vendee Challans (#9) on the road in the next round.
