Not a big story in a game when 15th ranked Cholet Basket (7-13) was defeated at home by ninth ranked STB Le Havre (11-9) 84-79 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Cholet Basket won fourth quarter 15-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for STB Le Havre especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Dominican Ricardo Greer (196-77, college: Pittsburgh) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 assists and Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU) who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Center Nicolas de Jong (210-88, agency: Comsport) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and American forward Nick Minnerath (206-88, college: Detroit Mercy) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. STB Le Havre moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Paris-Levallois. Cholet Basket lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. STB Le Havre will face higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cholet Basket will play against Chalons-Reims (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
