Regular Season Round 22: Nysa Klodzko - Miedzychod 86-91

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Nysa Klodzko (17-3) in Kloszko on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Miedzychod (8-12) 91-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Nysa Klodzko. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 48-41 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Miedzychod made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game, while Nysa Klodzko only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Miedzychod looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Nysa Klodzko helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of center Piotr Wojdyr (217-90, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Jakub Nowak (188-89) contributed with 25 points and 7 assists for the winners. Center Jaroslaw Bartkowiak (201-85) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and swingman Maciej Lepczynski (194-83) added 17 points and 6 assists in the effort for Nysa Klodzko. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nysa Klodzko's coach Marcin Radomski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Miedzychod moved-up to seventh place in Group D, which they share with Sudety and Slask 2 Wroclaw. Nysa Klodzko at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost.
