Rather predictable result in Guanajuato where eighth ranked Abejas (18-18) defeated 10th ranked Gigantes (13-22) 95-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-77. American forward Steffphon Pettigrew (195-89, college: W.Kentucky) had a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American-Jamaican forward McHugh Mattis (198-84, college: S.Florida) chipped in 27 points and 8 rebounds during the contest.
