Third-ranked UNCAus (11-16) made lots of trouble for first ranked Union SF (16-8) in Santa Fe. Union SF managed to secure only one-point victory 61-60. However their fans expected easier game. UNCAus was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 18-13 charge of Union SF, which allowed them to win the game. Center Alejandro Reinick (203-78) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Center Fernando Podesta (205-92) contributed with 14 points for the winners. point guard Gustavo Martin (185-81) answered with 12 points and 4 assists and center Julian Aprea (196-87) added 17 points in the effort for UNCAus. UNCAus' coach Diego Lifschitz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Union SF maintains first place with 16-8 record. Newly promoted UNCAus dropped to the fourth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Alianza Viedma. Union SF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UNCAus will play on the road against the league's second-placed San Isidro (#2) in San Francisco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
