Regular Season Round 13: Meteors - WIT Wildcats 73-60

The game between fifth ranked Meteors (5-6) and 6th ranked WIT Wildcats (3-8) in Dublin on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Meteors beat guests from Waterford 73-60. Meteors looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by WIT Wildcats' players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Christine Ganser (185, college: Holy Cross) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Jade Daly (-91) contributed with 14 points and 6 assists for the winners. Meteors' coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Olivia Applewhite (183, college: Dayton) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and the former international forward Stephanie O'Shea (185-91) added 7 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for WIT Wildcats. Meteors maintains fifth place with 5-6 record. WIT Wildcats lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Meteors will face again WIT Wildcats (#6) in Waterford in the next round.
