No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Camaguey (6-10) beat at home bottom-ranked Guantanamo (2-13) 82-71. The game was mostly controlled by Camaguey. Guantanamo was better in fourth quarter 29-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Yoanny Baldo (191-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 steals and point guard Vladimir Francis (185-83) who added 13 points during the contest. Four Camaguey players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Daniel Duporte (185-86) responded with 21 points and forward Antonio Sanchez (195-85) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Camaguey maintains sixth position with 6-10 record. Guantanamo lost thirteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Camaguey will play against league's second-placed Santiago in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Guantanamo will play against Las Tunas (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
