No shocking result in a game when second ranked AZS UMK Torun (15-3) crushed on the road 5th ranked Trefl II Sopot (9-9) 73-46 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS UMK Torun. Trefl II Sopot was better in third quarter 17-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Trefl II Sopot to just 5 points in first quarter. AZS UMK Torun held Trefl II Sopot to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.7 percent accuracy of the winners. AZS UMK Torun had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for AZS UMK Torun especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Trefl II Sopot's players. It was a very good performance for Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Tomasz Lipinski (201-78) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. point guard Artur Wlodarczyk (182-96) replied with 20 points and point guard Pawel Dzierzak (190-95) added 6 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Trefl II Sopot. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AZS UMK Torun have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group A with 15-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Nysa Klodzko. Trefl II Sopot lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost.
