Regular Season Round 22: Basket Pila - Kotwica 81-65

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Kotwica (7-11) lost on the road to eighth ranked Basket Pila (7-11) 81-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Basket Pila. Kotwica was better in fourth quarter 31-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kotwica to just 5 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Kotwica 46-25 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Basket Pila looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Kotwica's players. It was a very good performance for point guard Patryk Bielecki (183-94) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Tomasz Pochylski (186-83) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Radoslaw Bytomski replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Pawel Lasota (201-96) added 12 points in the effort for Kotwica. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Basket Pila moved-up to seventh place in Group A, which they share with defeated Kotwica. Kotwica lost fifth consecutive game.
