Very expected game when 10th ranked Cagliari CUS (8-10) lost on the road to fourth ranked Umbertide (12-6) 71-54. The game was mostly controlled by Umbertide. Cagliari CUS was better in fourth quarter 11-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Umbertide forced 23 Cagliari CUS turnovers. It was a great evening for American-Greek guard Jacki Gemelos (182-88, college: USC) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. American center Carolyn Swords (198-89, college: Boston Coll., agency: LBM Management) helped adding 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Umbertide will play against league's leader Ragusa on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
