Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Minsk: Tsmoki-Minsk (#1) and Gorizont (#2). Gorizont was defeated at home 57-71 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki-Minsk. Gorizont was better in third quarter 19-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. International forward Maryia Papova (189-94) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian center Giedre Paugaite (192-90) chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Tsmoki-Minsk's coach Andrey Vavleu allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Yuliya Dureika (179-86) with 16 points and the former international forward Tatyana Troina (188-81, college: S.Carolina) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first position in League with 19-1 record. Gorizont at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk will play against BrGU COR Victoria (#4) in Brest in the next round. Gorizont will play on the road against Olimpia GrGAU in Grodno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
