Regular Season Round 32: LF Basket - Sundsvall 74-72

Important game to mention about took place in Lulea. Fifth ranked LF Basket (18-9) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Sundsvall Dragons (18-9) 74-72 in the fight for the fourth place. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sundsvall Dragons won third quarter 25-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. LF Basket brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The winners were led by American guard Alex Wesby (198-80, college: Temple, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who scored that evening 23 points and 6 rebounds and Greek forward Alexandros Sigounas (200-88, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points and 20 rebounds by Icelandic forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) did not help to save the game for Sundsvall Dragons. American forward Shane Edwards (201-87, college: UALR) added 19 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. LF Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sundsvall and Uppsala. LF Basket will play against league's second-placed Boras Basket on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sundsvall Dragons will play against Uppsala Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
