Regular Season Round 4: Taipower - Chunghua T. 75-79

An exciting game was when third ranked Third ranked Chunghwa Telecom faced 4th ranked Taipower. Chunghwa Telecom (2-2) defeated Taipower (0-4) 79-75. It looked good early as Taipower took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Chunghwa Telecom took control winning two of next three quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 4 points. Chunghwa Telecom shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Hong-Ying Huang (165-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international swingman Chien-Hui Hsu (171-89) contributed with 22 points for the winners. The former international guard Hsien-Fang Lin (168-91) replied with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Chi-Wen Lin (186-83) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Taipower. Four Taipower players scored in double figures. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chunghwa Telecom moved-up to second place, which they share with Taiyuan T. Taipower at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Chunghwa Telecom will play against league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against the league's second-placed Taiyuan Textile and hopes to get finally their first victory.
