The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Iskra Svit's (13-18) road loss to fourth ranked Handlova (17-15) 71-87 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Handlova. Iskra Svit managed to win second period 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Handlova forced 19 Iskra Svit turnovers and had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Iskra Svit's players. Loser Iskra Svit keeps the fifth place with 18 games lost. Handlova will meet league's leader Prievidza on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Iskra Svit will play against Nitra (#10) and hope to secure a win.
