Regular Season Round 24: Haneda Vickies - Fujitsu RW 57-94

Bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 24th consecutive match to fourth ranked Fujitsu RW (18-4) 94-57 on Friday evening. The game without a history. Fujitsu RW led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda Vickies' 34. It was a great shooting night for Fujitsu RW especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Haneda Vickies' players. The winners were led by international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and international swingman Chinatsu Yamamoto (175-91) supported her with 17 points, 5 assists and 7 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Even 17 points by guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) did not help to save the game for Haneda Vickies. Forward Yuki Morimoto (177-84) added 9 points and 6 rebounds. Fujitsu RW moved-up to second place. Loser Haneda Vickies still closes the standings. Fujitsu RW will meet at home Toyota B SR (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Haneda Vickies will play against Denso Iris (#4) in Kariya and hope to get finally their first victory.
