There was a change at the NBB leadership position after last games. Round 23 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Winner/Limeira (19-4). They were edged by second ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (19-2) 90-89 on Friday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Winner/Limeira. Winner/Limeira was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Paschoalotto/Bauru, which allowed them to win the game. Paschoalotto/Bauru outrebounded Winner/Limeira 34-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for international guard Alex Ribeiro (191-80, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points. The former international center Rafael Hettsheimer (206-86) helped adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Welington Dos Santos (185-81) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 assists and Mateus Dalla Barba (198-91) scored 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Paschoalotto/Bauru have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Winner/Limeira at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bauru. Winner/Limeira will play next round against Brasilia trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Paschoalotto/Bauru will try to continue on its current victory against fifteenth ranked Rio Claro at home.
