Second Stage Round 5: Limbazi - Ridzene 83-93

The game between Top Four teams took place in Limbazi. 4th placed host Limbazi (4-5) lost to third ranked Ridzene (6-2) 93-83. The game was mostly controlled by Ridzene. Limbazi managed to win fourth quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was center Guntis Sipolins (206-93) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Rihards Adins (200-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Five Ridzene players scored in double figures. Guard Davis Krastins (188-90) produced 34 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and forward Rolands Brencs (197-86) added 22 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Ridzene have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Livani. Loser Limbazi keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Ridzene will meet at home league's leader Livani in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limbazi will play against RTU in Riga and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
