Regular Season Round 31: Hokkaido L. - Wakayama T. 90-69

There was a small surprise in Saporro where sixth ranked Hokkaido L. (11-24) smashed 6th ranked Wakayama T. (4-27) 90-69 on Saturday. Hokkaido L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Wakayama T.'s players. It was a great evening for American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). The former international guard Takehiko Orimo (190-70) helped adding 9 points. Hokkaido L.'s coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American power forward Paul Butorac (208-83, college: E.Washington) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and Satoshi Takeda (185-80) scored 7 points and 6 rebounds. Hokkaido L. maintains sixth place with 11-24 record which they share with defeated Wakayama T. Wakayama T. lost fourteenth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 27 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
