Regular Season Round 31: Tochigi Brex - Kumamoto V. 84-71

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Kumamoto V. (4-26) was defeated on the road by second ranked Tochigi Brex (24-9) 84-71 on Saturday. Tochigi Brex forced 22 Kumamoto V. turnovers. It was a great evening for American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Tommy Brenton (196-89, college: Stony Brook) helped adding 4 points, 7 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side Josei Maniwa responded with 19 points and American swingman Garlon Green (201-91, college: TCU) scored 18 points (made all of his eight free throws). Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tochigi Brex have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 24-9 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Hitachi SR. Loser Kumamoto V. keeps the fifth position with 26 games lost. Tochigi Brex will face again Kumamoto V. (#5) at home in the next round.
