Regular Season Round 35: Shiga L-Stars - Takamatsu FA 78-73

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Takamatsu FA (10-23) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (20-11) 78-73 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 54-43 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Shiga L-Stars outrebounded Takamatsu FA 52-28 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Yu Okada (184-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 5 rebounds. American center Chris Holm (212-84, college: Vermont) helped adding 6 points and 20 rebounds. American swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) scored 15 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Shiga L-Stars maintains fourth place with 20-11 record. Loser Takamatsu FA keeps the eighth position with 23 games lost. They share it with Bambitious Nara. Shiga L-Stars will again meet at home Takamatsu FA (#8) in the next round. Takamatsu FA will have a break next round.
