We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when sixth ranked Real Celta Vigo (9-6) beat on the road 5th ranked Aros Leon (9-6) 69-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Real Celta Vigo. Aros Leon was better in third quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Real Celta Vigo forced 19 Aros Leon turnovers. Aros Leon was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Maria Perez Araujo (184-97) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Mali center Minata Keita (190-89) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Lucia Pablos (172-85, college: Northeastern, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Lucia Alonso (171-98) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Aros Leon's coach Isabel Fernandez rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Real Celta Vigo moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with defeated Aros Leon. Real Celta Vigo will face Universidad de Valladolid (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Aros Leon will play against Arxil Pontevedra (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
