Bottom-ranked Artemisa is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 19th consecutive match to second ranked Capitalinas (15-5) 83-56. The game was mostly controlled by Capitalinas. Artemisa was better in second period 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Capitalinas forced 23 Artemisa turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Lisdeyvis Martinez (175-89) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists and the former international center Klavdia Calvo (186-83) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. They maintain second position with 15-5 record having four points less than leader Pinar del Rio. Artemisa at the other side still closes the standings. Capitalinas will play against Sancti Spiritus (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Artemisa will play against Camaguey (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
