Regular Season Round 20: Stal Ostrow - Legia 86-79

An interesting game for Stal Ostrow (15-5) which hosted in Ostrow Wlkp. 4th ranked Legia (12-8). First ranked Stal Ostrow managed to get a 7-point victory 86-79. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Legia. It looked good early as Legia took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Stal Ostrow had a 26-9 second period charge getting the lead and Legia was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 79-86. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Adrian Mroczek-Truskowski (192-85) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and guard Adrian Sulinski (185-89, agency: Promotex) who added 22 points during the contest. Power forward Marcel Wilczek (204-86, agency: Promotex) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Lukasz Wilczek (190-86) scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Legia's coach Piotr Bakun rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Stal Ostrow maintains first position with 15-5 record, which they share with Sokol Lancut and Krosno. Newly promoted Legia keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Znicz Basket and Zaglebie. Stal Ostrow will play against league's second-placed Sokol Lancut on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Legia will play against Pogon Prudnik and hopes to get back on the winning track.
