Regular Season Round 24: Haneda Vickies - Fujitsu RW 60-81

Bottom-ranked Haneda Vickies is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 24th consecutive match to fourth ranked Fujitsu RW (18-4) 81-60. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Haneda Vickies was better in fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujitsu RW dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda Vickies' 40. The best player for the winners was international forward Moeko Nagaoka (180-93) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. International point guard Rui Machida (161-93) chipped in 10 points and 9 assists. Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. Fujitsu RW's coach BT Toews felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard LiQuan Luohe (165-91) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Yuki Toyama (176-91) added 18 points respectively. Fujitsu RW moved-up to second place. Haneda Vickies at the other side still closes the standings. Fujitsu RW's next round opponent will be Toyota B SR (#7) in Aichi where they are favorite. Haneda Vickies will play on the road against Denso Iris (#4) in Kariya and look forward to get finally their first victory.
