Regular Season Round 21: Breogan - Cocinas.com 72-66

LEB Gold top team - Leche Rio Breogan (15-6) added another victory to their record. This time they beat thirteenth ranked Cocinas.com (6-14) in Lugo 72-66. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 20-15. But Cocinas.com won second period 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Leche Rio Breogan won last quarter 18-13. Cocinas.com was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Gary McGhee (210-88, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and guard Alex Llorca (192-89) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was center Jose Manuel Coego (205-78) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Czech point guard Jakub Kudlacek (193-90) scored 9 points and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-6 record. Cocinas.com at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Leche Rio Breogan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cocinas.com will play on the road against Melilla Baloncesto (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
