Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Beirut: Al Riyadi (#1) and Homenetm. B (#6). Homenetm. B was crushed at home by 40 points 75-115 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Al Riyadi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Al Riyadi forced 21 Homenetm. B turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. American guard Jahmar Young (196-86, college: N.Mexico St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Fadi Khatib (199-79) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. Al Riyadi's coach Slobodan Subotic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds and American Rashad McCants (193-84, college: N.Carolina, agency: Haylett Sports) added 18 points in the effort for Homenetm. B. Al Riyadi have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Homenetm. B lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Al Riyadi's next round opponent will be Al Moutahed (#5) in Tripoli. Homenetm. B will play on the road against UBA in Byblos and hope to win that game.
