Date: February 14, 2015
No shocking result in a game in Mikawa where second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (27-6) smashed 7th ranked Shimane Magic (11-22) 94-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hamamatsu Phoenix. Shimane Magic managed to win third quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Shimane Magic 37-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. American forward Mo Charlo (203-83, college: Nevada) helped adding 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Hamamatsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Tomoya Higashino used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Bingo Merriex (206-80, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and the other American import guard Joe Chapman (193-84, college: Marquette, agency: I.D.S. Law) scored 21 points. Hamamatsu Phoenix maintains second place with 27-6 record behind leader Akita NH, which they share with Kyoto Hannar.
