Regular Season Round 22: Cognac - GET Vosges 67-75

Very expected game when 14th ranked Cognac BB (5-14) was defeated at home by tenth ranked GET Vosges (11-9) 75-67. It looked good early as Cognac BB took an 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then GET Vosges took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Loic Gigant (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four GET Vosges players scored in double figures. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Lamine Sambe (188-89) replied with 22 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and American guard Hugh Robertson (195-89, college: S.Florida) added 17 points in the effort for Cognac BB. GET Vosges moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Bordeaux and Challans. Cognac BB lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. GET Vosges' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked CFBB (#16) in Paris and are hoping to win another game. Cognac BB will play on the road against Quimper UJAP and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
