Regular Season Round 21: Nancy - Paris-Levallois 64-74
Date: February 14, 2015
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Sluc Nancy (12-9) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Paris-Levallois (12-9) 74-64. The game was mostly controlled by Paris-Levallois. Sluc Nancy was better in third quarter 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Paris-Levallois brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American swingman Blake Schilb (201-83, college: Loyola, IL) nailed 13 points and 5 assists for the winning side and center Adolphe Michel Jean-Baptiste (204-79) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds. Five Paris-Levallois players scored in double figures. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Gladyr (196-88, agency: Comsport) came up with 18 points and American power forward Randal Falker (202-85, college: S.Illinois) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for Sluc Nancy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Paris-Levallois. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Nancy. Paris-Levallois' next round opponent will be higher ranked Limoges CSP Elite (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sluc Nancy will play against JL Bourg and hope to win that game.
