Regular Season Round 23: Weert - Rotterdam 83-82

The most exciting game of round 23 in the Eredivisie took place in Weert. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Rotterdam (6-13) to eighth ranked Weert (3-16) 83-82 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 24-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for the former international center Kenneth van Kempen (207-87, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). Rotterdam lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 13 games lost. Weert are looking forward to face higher ranked Zwolle (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rotterdam will play against Amsterdam and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
