Very predictable result when third ranked Inter Bratislava (26-7) smashed at home 8th ranked Nova Ves (12-21) 101-77. The game was mostly controlled by Inter Bratislava. Nova Ves was better in third quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Inter Bratislava made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Inter Bratislava outrebounded Nova Ves 38-21 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Inter Bratislava players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The former international power forward Martin Rancik (205-78, college: Iowa St.) nailed 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Justin Graham (193-88, college: San Jose St.) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Inter Bratislava's coach Oleg Meleschenko felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Montenegrin point guard Goran Bulatovic (186-88) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists and American forward Stan Brown (204-90, college: Lamar) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Nova Ves in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Inter Bratislava. Defending champion maintains third place with 26-7 record having just two points less than leader Prievidza. Nova Ves at the other side keep the eighth position with 21 games lost. Inter Bratislava will play against league's second-placed Rieker KN in Komarno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Nova Ves will play at home against Iskra Svit (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
