Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Tbilisi: Dinamo Tbilisi (#1) and Mgzavrebi (#7). Mgzavrebi was crushed at home by 24 points 55-79 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. Dinamo Tbilisi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mgzavrebi's 26. They outrebounded Mgzavrebi 46-21 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Garrick Sherman (205-90, college: Notre Dame) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and international Besik Lezhava (192-86, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 17 points. Dinamo Tbilisi's coach Irakli Khoshtaria felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international Merab Bokolishvili (198-92) with 14 points and center Revaz Atanelishvili (207-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Dinamo Tbilisi have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-1 record. Mgzavrebi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. They share it with Sokhumi. Dinamo Tbilisi's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Olimpi.
