Regular Season Round 18: MKK Siedlce - Rybnik 72-85

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Rybnik (9-9) defeated on the road 9th ranked MKK Siedlce (6-12) 85-72. The game was mostly controlled by Rybnik. MKK Siedlce was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-27 charity shots (96.3 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American center Drey Mingo (191-89, college: Purdue, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with 28 points and 8 rebounds (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). The other American import guard Leah Metcalf (170-83, college: N.Carolina) contributed with 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Ukrainian forward Ganna Zarytska (182-86) replied with 21 points and 9 rebounds and forward Magdalena Koperwas (177-93) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for MKK Siedlce. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rybnik maintains sixth position with 9-9 record. Newly promoted MKK Siedlce dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Rybnik's next round opponent will be AZS UMCS (#8) in Lublin. MKK Siedlce will play on the road against CCC Polkowice and hope to win that game.
