Regular Season Round 15: Gimle - Ammerud 76-68

An interesting game for Gimle (12-3) which hosted in Bergen 4th placed Ammerud (6-8). Second ranked Gimle managed to get a 8-point victory 76-68. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 22-19 Ammerud's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 76-68 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Bianca Simmons (168-91, college: Mass.-Lowell) who led her team to a victory scoring 29 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Montenegrin forward Biljana Pavicevic (191-80, agency: Josep and Nicolas) helped adding 16 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international center Tina Nesse (183-84) with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Sara Grindelid (183-82) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Gimle have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-3 record behind leader Ullern. Ammerud lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Gimle's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bergen to the arena Bergen.
