Regular Season Round 17: West Coast - Bulleen B. 61-64

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Bulleen Boomers (11-11) edged bottom-ranked West Coast Waves (4-18) in Perth 64-61 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-14. But West Coast Waves won second period 21-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Bulleen Boomers won last quarter 13-11. The former international swingman Tess Madgen (180-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Olivia Thompson (185-93) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American guard Lindsey Moore (175-91, college: Nebraska) answered with 16 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized British forward Louella Tomlinson (193-88, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 15 points in the effort for West Coast Waves. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bulleen Boomers moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sydney UF and Canberra C. West Coast Waves lost fifteenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost.
