Very important is a road loss of third ranked Eskilstuna (4-2) against fourth ranked Helsingborg (4-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Eskilstuna was defeated by Helsingborg in Helsingborg 89-79. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-79. Helsingborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Eskilstuna's players. Guard Max Johansson (195-92) notched 27 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and Lithuanian center Martynas Kuksta (203-89) supported him with 23 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Jeffrey Parker (201, college: Wingate) did not help to save the game for Eskilstuna. Forward Pontus Lennartsson (198-93) added 18 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Four Eskilstuna players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Helsingborg moved-up to third place in BEHS forts, which they share with defeated Eskilstuna. Helsingborg will meet Huddinge (#7) in the next round. Eskilstuna will play against Brahe Basket (#9) in Huskvarna and hope to secure a win.
