The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Aishin Wings' (8-16) road victory over 9th ranked Niigata R. (5-19) in Tokyo 85-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Wings. Niigata R. was better in fourth quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Aishin Wings dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata R.'s 32. They outrebounded Niigata R. 34-19 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for the former international swingman Tanaka Masaki (171-88) who led her team to a victory with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Aishin Wings' coach YuTzu Li allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) replied with 29 points and the former international guard Hiromi Iwamura (168-81) added 18 points in the effort for Niigata R.Aishin Wings have a solid four-game winning streak.
