An interesting game for JX-Eneos S. (19-3) which hosted in Kashiwa 3rd ranked Denso Iris (16-6). First ranked JX-Eneos S. managed to get a 12-point victory 65-53. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Denso Iris. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Denso Iris' 28. They outrebounded Denso Iris 51-29 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. JX-Eneos S. brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who added 15 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and international guard Minami Iju (168-90) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Denso Iris' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. JX-Eneos S. have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-3 record. Denso Iris at the other side keep the third place with six games lost. They share the position with Chanson V-M and Toyota A.. JX-Eneos S. will play against Mitsubishi K. (#6) in Nagoya in the next round where they are favorite. Denso Iris will play at home against Haneda Vickies and hope to get back on the winning track.
