Rather expected game when 10th ranked Panathlitikos (3-15) lost at home to seventh ranked Ippokratis (7-11) 76-66 on Sunday. Ippokratis dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Panathlitikos' 22. They outrebounded Panathlitikos 51-21 including a 42-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Talia Caldwell (188-91, college: California) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and center Iro Koufogianni (188-87) accounted for 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Tia Gibbs (176, college: Louisville) came up with 26 points and 4 assists and guard Panagiots Tsambouri (170-81) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for Panathlitikos in the defeat. Ippokratis maintains seventh place with 7-11 record. Panathlitikos lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. They share it with Olympiakos. Ippokratis will meet at home higher ranked PAOK (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
